Beto O’Rourke expected to announce presidential candidacy

Corpus Christi, Texas (CCNN) — Former U.S. Representative Beto O’Rourke is expected to announce his candidacy for the presendential election in 2020 against numerous Democrats and currrent President Donald Trump. Beto will not set up the traditional exploratory committee, but will announce through social media where his name is still buzzing on news feeds.

Beto will be in attendance early Thursday in the small town of Burlington, Iowa where his campaign will be conducting a meet in greet with Democrats. With other Democratic candidates taking shape already, will be focusing on a three day tour visiting with residents in Eastern Iowa.

In the last few days Beto O’Rourke supporters have posted links via Facebook of a newsletter sent out from his previous failed Senator race against Senator Ted Cruz. The newsletter states to tune into a social media announcement. This newsletter sent out to Texas supporters signals his intention to run for president.

Although Beto has been deflecting questions surrounding his intentions to run for president at last weeks South by South West premier of the HBO documentary “Running With Beto”, there have been reports of his previous campaign team teasing the announcement on their social media pages. When will Beto announce? “This week” sources say.
